Taking care of business, families and each other
What is Sitter Summit?
Sitter Summit aims to bring the community of babysitters together to celebrate our love and commitment to childhood development, healthy and happy parent relationships, and our entrepreneurial spirit.
We are nurturers, and the work we do has an ethic of care that comes naturally. Many of us are really entrepreneurs and need support transforming our side-hustle into sustainable businesses, whether we babysit an hour a month or 5 days a week.
We want to raise up the babysitting community in cities across the country to connect and learn from each other, provide practical advice, and reinforce a positive self-identity for all childcare providers. Join us, and start taking care of business, families and each other.

Who is Sitter Summit?
Not quite.... ;)
We started Sitter Summit with a mission to lift up the profession of babysitting by supporting, encouraging, and learning from each other. As current and former babysitters, and current and future parents, we believe in Babysitting with a Purpose.
Emily Washburn has been babysitting children and dogs since she was about 12 years old. She has worked as a teacher at a child care facility, full- and part-time nanny, and has received formal child care development training. Emily has been involved with many non-profits supporting children and families outside of her career as an HR Specialist, but especially loves teaching and training in any capacity. She is deeply committed to helping people in her community with a passion for changing the world, one family at a time.
Teri Adams works at Julia's Garden Montessori in Austin, Texas as the toddler assistant. She is the sole proprietor of The Little Red Hen, providing babysitting, house sitting, and pet sitting in the greater Austin area. Teri double majored in Women's and Gender Studies and Sociology at UT and has two children in middle school. Her favorite pastime is nerding out on Texas high school football.
Liz Grow is a mother of a tween daughter and the co-founder of SnapSitter, an app that connects sitters with parents instantly so sitters can work more and parents can play more. As a former licensed psychotherapist, Liz's passions include helping women realize their full potential whether it's in the workplace, the gym, or at awkward social events. She believes in the magic that babysitting can have on children, babysitters, and parents, and is fiercely dedicated to issues such as affordable childcare and fair treatment of childcare providers (a.k.a. royalty).
